EA Sports FC 24 is currently facing server outages, disrupting the gameplay experience for players in the middle of EA FC’s competitive mode, Weekend League. Despite being a widespread issue, Electronic Arts (EA) has yet to officially acknowledge the problem.
Why did I disconnect from the EA FC 24 Weekend League?
The timing of the server outage is particularly unfortunate as it coincides with the Weekend League, a period when players compete in a limited number of matches. As the Weekend League only allows 20 matches and any disconnection counts as a loss, the ongoing server issues are causing frustration among players who fear they may lose valuable opportunities to compete.
It remains unclear whether EA will compensate affected players for lost matches, adding another layer of concern for those actively participating in the Weekend League. The lack of any confirmation or communication from EA further adds to the frustration, leaving players uncertain about the status of the ongoing issues.
Reports from PlayStation players indicate that they are receiving notifications that they are not connected to the PlayStation Network (PSN) and attribute the problem to this connectivity issue. However, these gamers say they were able to access the PlayStation Store and participate in other online games without issue, raising questions about the nature of the server outage, which specifically affected EA Sports FC 24.
The outage did not go unnoticed and Downdetector has recorded a significant increase in user reports of issues with the game. This widespread increase in problem reports indicates a significant and widespread issue with EA Sports FC 24 servers.
EA has not yet commented on the issue. Have you experienced a similar problem? Please don’t forget to share your thoughts with us in the comments.
