Chery, which has taken a large part of the share of the rise of Chinese companies in automobile production, has now announced that it has switched to the electric car side. The company, which has appealed to thousands of users since the time it entered the market in our country, introduced its electric off-road vehicle with the announcements it made today. Chery iCar V23 offers a range of up to 501 km
9 December, that is, Chery’s iCar brand, which was officially introduced with the launch made today, announced the electric off-road SUV vehicle called iCar V23. According to the statements, the vehicle, which will go on sale on 16 December, will be the second large production vehicle of the new brand. The vehicle, which was pre-sold with two different options between 15 and 20 thousand dollars at the Guangzhou Auto Show held in November, will be delivered quickly in December.
As for the engine options, the vehicle was introduced with both all-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive models, RWD and AWD. When we come to the rear-wheel drive model, we see that it has an engine with 100kW (134 hp) power, while the all-wheel drive model has an electric motor with 55kW (74 hp) power in addition to this engine. The RWD model offers 180 Nm of torque, while the AWD model has an additional 112Nm of torque.

Although the vehicles do not have high performance like other electric models, they can reach 0 to 100 in 7.5 seconds. In addition, the RWD version offers a range of 60km with its 401kWh battery, while the AWD version provides a range of 81.76km CLTC with its 501kWh battery. Chery iCar V23 can be charged from 30 per cent charge to 80 per cent in 30 minutes.
The iCar V23, which looks like it will attract a lot of attention with its off-road design, has features such as advanced driving assistants, while the 8 megapixel camera on the front, 3 megapixel surround camera, five millimetre-wave radars, and 12 ultrasonic radars.
If we look at its dimensions, iCar V23 looks quite flashy with its 4220mm length, 1915mm width, and 1845mm height. It is not yet clear whether the vehicle, which will also be technologically equipped, will come to Turkey.
