The incident occurred on August 10th. The luxury electric vehicle owner went to a charging station and activated the automatic parking system to park the car. The owner explained that it was daytime, there were no other vehicles around, and the ground was clear, making the parking process initially seem smooth.

However, after a short while, the vehicle suddenly reversed and collided with a metal plate. The owner was inside the vehicle, thinking the parking had been completed successfully, only to be shocked when the car reversed and hit the plate.

Following the malfunction, the electric vehicle owner contacted IE customer service and provided them with in-car camera footage of the incident. IE officials confirmed that the crash was due to a fault in the automatic parking system. However, they told the owner that they would need to use their own insurance for the repairs.

The owner expressed frustration, stating, “This accident happened because of the vehicle’s automatic parking system. I can use my insurance, but if my insurance premiums go up because of this, IE should cover the cost,” arguing that the situation was unfair.
