Musk stated that Grok will create truly great games and films, announcing that the first great AI-powered game will be released in 2026, a movie in 2026, and a high-quality film in 2027.

Last week, Elon Musk, in a post on the X platform with the hashtag “Cancel Netflix,” called for “Cancel your Netflix subscription for the sake of your children’s health.” Musk later shared examples of various videos created by Grok users using AI, announcing that he would soon be producing films and games.
The game’s genre, or what Musk specifically meant by “a great AI-powered game,” remains unknown. However, rumors suggest the project will be built on a system powered by the Grok 4 model and Grok Imagine video production technology, aiming to create real-time virtual worlds.
While details about the type of game xAI is working on are unclear, Musk’s interest in RPGs (Role-Playing Games) like Diablo IV, The Battle of Polytopia, and Path of Exiles suggests his first major game could be a new intellectual property in the genre.
