Two Laser Guidance Kits (LGK) developed by ASELSAN were test-fired by the F-16. The aircraft, which underwent ÖZGÜR modernization, carried out test firings with LGK-82 and LGK-84. Those moments, which were shared by ASELSAN, aroused great interest on social media.
F-16 ÖZGÜR merged with LGK-82 and LGK-84
Within the scope of test flights using the National Mission Computer, F-16 ÖZGÜR and LGK kits came together. According to ASELSAN’s statement, F-16 ÖZGÜR fired target shots from an altitude of 15 thousand feet using LGK-82 and LGK-84 laser guided bomb kits.
In firing tests, targets were hit with pinpoint accuracy. Thanks to the laser-guided bomb kits, the ammunition could be guided to the target with high accuracy.
According to the organization, laser guided bomb kits transform bombs of different types and weights into smart ammunition. This increases the accuracy and probability of hitting fixed or moving targets. It also reduces collateral damage.
As a result of the tests, it was revealed that F-16 ÖZGÜR and laser-guided munitions were integrated. In this way, it was seen that it could fire at the target with high accuracy.
