You’ll need to prep before visiting Misery Island

While the mod is free to download, it’s not plug-and-play for beginners. According to the creator, players should be at least level 25, as the questlines are tuned for tougher builds. On top of that, you’ll need the Far Harbor DLC installed for everything to function properly.

Combat, exploration, and survival will all be tougher here. But that’s the appeal Misery Island wants you to feel out of place, underpowered, and constantly on edge.
