A comprehensive leak has emerged regarding the Galaxy Watch 8 series ahead of Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event on Wednesday, July 9. According to information from French technology platform Dealabs, Samsung will introduce three different smartwatch models this year: the Galaxy Watch 8, Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2.
Galaxy Watch 8, Watch 8 Classic, and Watch Ultra 2 are coming
In the new series, the Galaxy Watch 8 model will be offered in two different sizes: 40 mm and 44 mm. The Galaxy Watch 8 Classic will be released in a single size of 46 mm. It is stated that the top model of the series, the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, will be 47 mm in diameter. The Watch Classic series was skipped last year, but is being included in the product range again this year.

All of the watches use Samsung’s Exynos W1000 processor. This processor was also included in last year’s Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra models. Although no performance increase is expected in the devices, there are updates in other elements that will affect the user experience.
All models have 2 GB of RAM, while the Galaxy Watch 8 will come with 32 GB of internal storage, while the Watch 8 Classic and Ultra 2 models will come with 64 GB of storage. The box contents and straps of the watches also vary depending on the model.
The Galaxy Watch 8 is offered with a “silicone sports bracelet”; the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic model has a “premium hybrid strap”. The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 model comes with an “extreme sports bracelet”. This difference also reveals the positioning of the products in terms of target user audience and usage scenarios.
According to retail prices in France, the 40 mm version of the Galaxy Watch 8 will be €379.99, while the LTE version will be €429.99. The price for the 44 mm version is €409.99, and the LTE model is €459.99. The Galaxy Watch 8 Classic is listed as €529.99 without LTE, and €579.99 with LTE.
The top model, the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, is priced at €699.99. These figures indicate a slight increase in the base versions compared to the previous year’s models, while the price remains the same for the Ultra model.
