New details continue to emerge about Xiaomi’s upcoming Redmi K70 series, which is set to be released soon. It is expected that the Chinese brand will include the budget-friendly K70e model in the series. Recently, the technical specifications of the smartphone were revealed.
Redmi K70e specs revealed
Abhishek Yadav, known for industry leaks, unveiled the features of the Redmi K70e. According to him, the phone will feature a 6.67-inch 1.5K resolution display with a 120Hz refresh rate, hosting a 12-bit OLED panel. Moreover, the fingerprint reader, chosen as the security method, will be positioned under the display. The device is said to have a thickness of 8.05 mm and weighs 198 grams.
The processor to be used in the phone is reported to be the recently introduced MediaTek Dimensity 8300. Based on TSMC’s 2nd generation 4nm process, the chipset consists of eight cores, with 4 ARM Cortex-A715 cores and 4 ARM Cortex-A510 cores. Additionally, it features a Mali-G615 MC6 unit for graphics.
The RAM and storage options for the device have not yet been confirmed. However, according to leaks, the Redmi K70e will come with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage technologies.
The phone will have a 16-megapixel front-facing selfie camera and a triple camera setup on the back, consisting of a 64-megapixel main camera with OIS support, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 2-megapixel auxiliary sensor. Finally, it is worth noting that the phone will be powered by a 5500mAh battery capable of 90W fast charging. While there is no definite launch date, rumors suggest it will be introduced towards the end of this month. Additionally, it is said to be initially introduced in China and later come to global markets under the name POCO F6.
