Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick spoke about the GTA 6 PC version in a new interview.Admitting that some rumors about the game may be true, CEO Zelnick did not neglect to discuss the future of the series with GTA 7.
What did Take-Two CEO say about GTA 7?
Take-Two CEO was evasive when asked about the PC version of GTA 6. While the game has been officially announced for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, the lack of an announcement for PC has left gamers in limbo. He only emphasized that Rockstar is finally bringing its games to all platforms.
Zelnick’s mention of GTA 7, which will probably come out many years later, is quite remarkable. During the interview, a reporter said, “Mind you, I know we’re not even at GTA 6 yet, but I’m thinking…” and the CEO interjected, “GTA 7?”
The Take-Two CEO then said that they were considering the success and cultural impact of the GTA series, especially GTA 5, which has sold more than 200 million copies.
“In 2013 it was like neck and neck with Call of Duty. Now we’re here with GTA 5. After 10-11 years, after seeing what they’ve done, we realized we’re a real outlier. We are the number one entertainment product of all time across all forms of entertainment.”
While concrete details about GTA 7 are almost non-existent, Zelnick’s comments suggest that the series has a huge future ahead.
Take-Two President Karl Slatoff previously stated that GTA 6 will be released in the fall of 2025.
