The production schedule for Apple’s long-awaited foldable iPhone model has been clarified. According to information shared by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the device’s production will begin in the last quarter of 2025. The mass production process will start in late September or early October. The foldable iPhone will be released in the fall of 2026.
The foldable iPhone will be available in 2026
The hardware and design process of the model called iPhone Fold has been largely completed. Apple plans to position the device directly as a part of the iPhone 18 series. While Foxconn stands out as the main supplier in the production process, Samsung Display is expected to produce approximately 7 to 8 million panels on the screen side.

It was stated that the foldable screen will be 7.8 inches when opened and 5.5 inches when folded. The design will be in a book shape and foldable inward. Apple focuses on minimizing the crease that may occur in the middle of the screen in the hinge mechanism.
The possibility of using Touch ID instead of Face ID is also on the agenda. Apple’s choice is being evaluated due to the space constraints of the foldable structure. It was stated that the device will be approximately 4.5 mm thick when opened and 9 to 9.5 mm thick when folded.
The price range of the device will be between $2,000 and $2,500. Apple plans to have a stock of 15 to 20 million units in the first production wave. This indicates that the product will be positioned more in the upper segment rather than a wide user base.
