Apple is working with Samsung Display for its first foldable iPhone model. It is stated that the new OLED panel, which will be produced by Samsung, is both technically and physically more advanced than the company’s current foldable screens. It was stated that the panel will be a more advanced version of the screens used in the Galaxy Z Fold series.
Foldable iPhone will be on the agenda with its OLED panel
The new screen will be 19% thinner with the touch layer directly integrated into the OLED surface. In this way, it will both take up less space and reduce the overall weight of the device.

In addition, the panel will offer higher peak brightness, improved overall brightness levels and more accurate color reproduction. With these technological improvements, a significant improvement in the screen experience can be achieved.
It is stated that Apple is also taking steps towards the branding of this panel developed for the foldable iPhone model. It has been reported that the company has applied to register a special brand name for this new foldable screen, similar to names such as Retina, Liquid Retina, Super Retina XDR, Ultra Retina XDR and ProMotion that it has used in the past.
It was reported that Samsung Display took Apple’s special demands into consideration when developing this panel. It is stated that the company carried out a special design process to work with a high-volume and prestigious customer like Apple.
