Ford has introduced a new FX package for the 2026 Mustang. This package draws attention with its retro design details inspired by the Fox Body Mustang models of the 1980s and 1990s. The FX, which will be offered in both coupe and convertible versions, carries the design codes from the seven-generation history of the Mustang to the present day.
Ford Mustang FX package unveiled
The FX package stands out with Oxford White accents in the exterior design. The package includes standard 19-inch five-spoke wheels or more complex wheel options seen in Ford’s Performance package. White emblems, badges and taillight surrounds increase the retro atmosphere of the vehicle.

While white front grille noses are included in the Performance package models, dark carbonized gray details are used in the standard versions. The bright white “MUSTANG” lettering written in the font of the 1987-1993 Mustangs draws attention on the rear window.
In color options, the new Adriatic Blue Metallic color is offered for the FX package. The Orange Fury Metallic Tricoat color has also been brought back. Inside, the plaid seat upholstery is reminiscent of the classic Fox Body models.
The standard seats and optional Recaro sport seats are offered with leather bolsters. The interior features City Silver and Adriatic Blue contrast stitching, white accents and special fonts. The seat belts are available in International Orange, Prime Blue or black with red stripes.
The digital instrument cluster digitally recreates the retro instrument design of the 1987-1993 Mustangs. This instrument cluster, which is illuminated in white during the day and green at night, offers a nostalgic touch for Fox Body fans.
The FX package is only available in the GT Premium trim level and with the 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine. The engine produces 480 horsepower, while the Active Valve Dual Exhaust version increases power to 486 horsepower. Transmission options include a six-speed manual and a 10-speed automatic.
The starting price for the 2025 GT Premium coupe is $51,080, while the convertible version is $56,580. Ford has not yet announced the prices of the 2026 models. So what do you think about this vehicle? You can share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
