A PlayStation user has purchased a 24-year PlayStation Plus subscription to hedge against price hikes in the coming years. Posting on Reddit, the player revealed that he managed to buy multiple subscriptions for the Premium tier until 2048.
In the screenshots shared, it is seen that the subscription is valid until 2048. The user explained this move as a precaution against Sony’s “exorbitant price hikes” on PS Plus in recent years. Rather than face rising costs every year, he opted to pay in advance for more than twenty years.
According to the information shared, the user managed to install the PS Plus Essential subscription, which sells for $ 79.99 per year, to his account for 24 years. This corresponds to approximately 2000 dollars. Of course, the pricing in our country is different.
Sony, on the other hand, offered the user an 89 percent discount to upgrade all subscriptions to the higher level PS Plus Premium plan. In this context, the total cost was only 199.99 dollars. This means that the player bought the 24-year bundle for $200.
