Samsung has been counting down to the highly anticipated Galaxy A36 model, which has been making headlines for quite some time. While the South Korean brand has not yet announced a specific launch date, the smartphone’s recent certifications and the activation of support pages suggest that users won’t have to wait much longer.
Galaxy A36 Appears in the BIS Database
The Galaxy A36 has been spotted in the BIS database under the model number SM-A366E/DS. Although the listing doesn’t reveal any specific features, it strongly hints that the launch is imminent.

In recent weeks, the model also appeared in the Geekbench database, scoring 967 points in single-core tests and 2,750 in multi-core tests, which indirectly confirmed some of its features.
The Galaxy A36, listed under the model number SM-A366U, was tested on Geekbench. According to the database, the smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor. It will also come with 6 GB of RAM and run Android 15 out of the box. It’s worth noting that there may be other memory configurations available as well.
The Galaxy A36 is expected to feature a 50 MP main camera, similar to its predecessor, the Galaxy A35, which launched in March. However, the most notable change will likely be in the selfie camera. Instead of the 13 MP front camera found in its predecessor, the Galaxy A36 is rumored to use a 12 MP sensor. While this might initially seem like a downgrade, sources claim that the new sensor will provide a better selfie experience compared to previous models.
Additionally, the device is rumored to include an 8 MP ultra-wide lens and a 5 MP macro sensor, although these details remain unconfirmed.
