The countdown for the Samsung Galaxy A36, which has been making headlines for quite some time, has officially begun. The model is expected to cater to the mid-range segment and offer an attractive price point without disappointing consumers. Most recently, the smartphone appeared in performance tests.
Samsung Galaxy A36 Spotted on Geekbench
The Samsung Galaxy A36, with model number SM-A366U, has been listed in the Geekbench database. The smartphone scored 967 points in single-core tests and 2,750 points in multi-core tests, indirectly revealing some of its specifications.
According to Geekbench data, the model will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor. It will also feature 6 GB of RAM and run Android 15 right out of the box. It’s worth noting that other memory configurations might also be available.
Similar to its predecessor, the Galaxy A35, which was released in March, the Galaxy A36 is likely to feature a 50 MP main camera. The most notable change in this model seems to be in the selfie camera. Instead of the 13 MP front camera found in its predecessor, the Galaxy A36 is expected to sport a 12 MP sensor.
At first glance, this might appear to be a downgrade. However, according to leaks, the new sensor is expected to deliver a superior selfie experience compared to previous models. Additionally, while not confirmed, the phone is rumored to include an 8 MP ultra-wide sensor and a 5 MP macro sensor.
