Samsung’s Galaxy Buds 3 Pro headphones attracted attention with its stylish design when it was first introduced, but the various problems that users have experienced recently turn the comments about the product into negative. So much so that charging problems are one of these problems. So what will Samsung do? Here are the details…
Charging issues and quality control problems in Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro
While the Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro have been praised for their new design, users have been making a number of complaints about charging issues. Many report that their earbuds are not charging properly and that the orange light on the charging case is blinking. Also, the headset’s battery percentage never changes and the phone sends a notification that the headset is not charging. The problem appears to have several different sources. This shows that there are serious deficiencies in Samsung’s quality control.

Firstly, a user noticed that the earbuds are not properly positioned in the charging case and therefore do not charge. The magnetic sensor also does not work properly because the earphones do not fit properly in the charging case. Another user noticed that the pins in the charging case were damaged and melted. Although headphones are low-energy devices, this situation suggests manufacturing defects. Last year’s Galaxy Buds FE explosion incident raises further concerns about the shortcomings in Samsung’s quality control.
Another factor is the software update in October 2024. Some users state that the charging problem only started after this update. Although this indicates that there may be a software-related solution, Samsung still has not provided a solution. Although the latest update for South Korea (R530XXU0AYB3) offers hope, it is not yet clear when this update will reach other regions.
While the problem is clearly a manufacturing issue, Samsung’s service centres are charging many users up to $180 for repairs, accusing them of water damage. However, users claim that they have never exposed their headphones to water.
