Galaxy S24 FE has been launched as Samsung’s new phone in the price-performance category. Coming as the cheapest option of the series that includes Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus and Galaxy S24 Ultra, the model brings a simpler hardware and design same as Galaxy S23 FE. However, it brings hidden changes in its internal structure that can guarantee a better performance. It was seen to undergo fine adjustments for better heat dissipation.
The repairability video of the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE was published by the PBKreviews YouTube channel. The video reveals step-by-step instructions for the maintenance of all the main components of the smartphone. At the same time, it analyses the pros and cons of arranging parts in terms of ease of repair.
All internal components of the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE revealed
The video starts with the removal of the rear panel made of glass with a reflective surface. The rear camera lens guards can be replaced individually by applying heat to the area and using a silicone spatula to safely remove them from the rear panel. This makes it easier to repair these parts.
The first layer to appear on the phone is the wireless charging coil for the battery. This component also includes the NFC antenna, which allows you to make contactless payments using, for example, Samsung Wallet. The set has a graphite layer that helps dissipate heat.
The motherboard is fixed to the case using screws. Here we also see cameras, an auxiliary microphone for video shooting, an ambient light sensor and a SIM card reader. There is also a graphite sheet that helps dissipate heat. Removing it reveals Samsung’s new Exynos 2400e processor coated in thermal paste.
The Galaxy S24 FE scored 8.5 out of 10 for repairability in the PBKreviews review. Although this score is the same as the score obtained by the Galaxy S23 FE, it is slightly below the Galaxy S24, which scored 9 out of 10.
