Samsung’s next flagship phone series, the Galaxy S26, may undergo a significant change in its AI integration. According to the latest information, the company is about to make a comprehensive agreement with Perplexity AI. If the negotiations are completed, Perplexity will be offered as the default AI assistant in the Galaxy S26 models.
Samsung Galaxy S26 series will come with Perplexity AI
As part of the agreement, the Perplexity application will come pre-installed on Samsung’s upcoming devices. In addition, Perplexity’s natural language processing and response generation technology is planned to be integrated more deeply into Samsung’s existing systems.

It was also mentioned in the negotiations that Samsung will take steps to integrate Perplexity’s search infrastructure into its own web browser. In this way, the devices will be able to offer a more comprehensive and AI-powered search experience.
The inclusion of Perplexity’s technology in Bixby is also on the agenda. This integration is considered as part of Samsung’s effort to strengthen its existing digital assistant infrastructure and transform it into a more interactive experience based on AI.
Samsung’s move doesn’t seem to be limited to software. The company is preparing to invest in Perplexity, which is conducting a $500 million financing round at a valuation of $14 billion.
Samsung is expected to be among the largest investors in this round. This financial partnership shows that the company wants to establish a long-term strategic partnership, not just using Perplexity technology.
This step indicates that Samsung wants to reduce its dependence on Google services. Similar to the independence model adopted by Apple in line with its own AI strategies, Samsung is also moving towards developing and using alternative AI solutions.
