Samsung’s new-generation smartwatch series, the Galaxy Watch 8, has been extensively leaked ahead of its official launch. The new series includes three different models: Galaxy Watch 8, Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, and Galaxy Watch Ultra. All three models feature hardware upgrades, strap options that appeal to different usage scenarios, and notable price increases.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 series is coming
The Galaxy Watch 8 series runs on Samsung’s latest user interface, One UI 8.0. The watches are powered by the new five-core Exynos W1000 processor developed with a 3nm manufacturing process. This new processor offers higher performance than previous-generation models. While the RAM capacity is kept constant at 2 GB in all models, the basic model offers 32 GB of storage. This capacity has been increased to 64 GB in the Watch 8 Classic and Ultra models.

Strap options vary by model. While the Galaxy Watch 8 is offered with a silicone sports bracelet; the Watch 8 Classic comes with a Premium Hybrid Strap made of leather and silicone. The Galaxy Watch Ultra has a durable Extreme Sports Bracelet specially designed for extreme sports.
On the screen side, the AMOLED panel and 3000 nits maximum brightness are common to the entire series. While the Galaxy Watch 8 and Ultra models have a 1.47-inch screen size, the Classic model comes with a 1.34-inch screen. All models have sapphire glass protection against scratches.
On the sensor side, comprehensive health tracking features such as accelerometer, altimeter, gyroscope, light sensor, PPG (optical heart rate monitor), ECG (electrocardiogram) and BIA (bioelectrical impedance analysis) are offered as standard in all versions. According to leaked information, the European prices of the Galaxy Watch 8 series are as follows:

The prices of the new models show a significant increase compared to the previous series. The Galaxy Watch 8 series is expected to be officially introduced on July 23.
