Samsung starts accepting Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Fold 6 pre-bookings this week

Samsung plans to unveil the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 at its Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10. However, it may start accepting pre-bookings before the announcement of these devices. Pre-booking dates have finally been announced.

Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 pre-bookings start this week

Samsung has started sending messages to some existing customers in India with pre-booking dates for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6. According to information from the Samsung Experience Store, these smartphones, codenamed B6 and Q6, will open for pre-bookings on June 26, 2024. For those who don’t know, B6 is the codename for the Galaxy Z Flip 6, while Q6 is the codename for the Galaxy Z Fold 6.

While the company hasn’t revealed additional information, pre-booking the Galaxy Z Flip 6 or Galaxy Z Fold 6 will likely come with extra benefits on top of the pre-order perks. Samsung may give away an additional gift voucher or a few accessories to those who pre-order these devices after pre-booking.

The Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 will have completely flat edges, similar to the Galaxy S24. According to leaked images and renders, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 has sharper corners and a titanium frame similar to the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Both phones will feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 For Galaxy processor and up to 12GB of RAM. They may also have a few Galaxy AI features.

Both phones will have a less pronounced fold mark, a new hinge and brighter displays. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 will come with a 50MP main rear camera and a 12MP ultra-wide camera. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 may include a 50MP main rear camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera and a 10MP telephoto camera. Both models will feature a 10MP front camera, while the Galaxy Z Fold 6 may also have a 4MP built-in front camera.

The Galaxy Z Flip 6 will have a larger battery capacity (4,000mAh) than its predecessor. However, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will use the same 4,400mAh battery seen in the Galaxy Z Fold 5. Both phones will offer stereo speakers, IPX7 rating, capacitive fingerprint reader and seven years of Android OS and security updates.
