Rumors continue to swirl about Samsung’s first foldable phone, a device likely to be released under the name Galaxy Z TriFold. While the company hasn’t yet confirmed any details, including its price, new leaks regarding its price tag offer hope.
Is the Launch Imminent?
Previous rumors suggested the Galaxy Z TriFold could cost as much as $3,000. However, recent claims suggest the price might not be as high as previously expected, making it “a bit more acceptable” to potential buyers.

There’s no official announcement yet regarding when Samsung plans to release the Galaxy Z TriFold. Some reports have suggested the device could be unveiled before the end of 2025, with a limited release planned for 2026. Given the approaching end of the year, an announcement is expected in the near future.
A recent report claimed the device would be unveiled on December 5th. The same report suggested the price would be around 4.4 million Korean won (approximately $3,000). This would make it a full 50% more expensive than the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which starts at $1,999.
A new rumor claims the Galaxy Z TriFold will be priced at $2,499. While this price is more reasonable, it certainly doesn’t fall into the “affordable” category. According to this claim, the Galaxy Z TriFold will undercut Huawei’s rival, the Mate XTs, by $300.
Regardless of the price, the device is expected to be released only in a few high-affordability markets. Samsung is likely to initially offer the device in markets like the United States, South Korea, China, and the United Arab Emirates.
