Nvidia has announced a series of major innovations that have excited users of its cloud gaming service, GeForce NOW. The highly anticipated RTX 5080 upgrade, which was teased at Gamescom 2025, has been announced. In a recent blog post, the company announced that Ultimate subscribers will begin enjoying the power of the RTX 5080 on September 10th.
RTX 5080 Power and Enhanced Image Quality in GeForce NOW
Ultimate, the top-tier GeForce NOW platform, is poised to set a new standard in cloud gaming by upgrading from the current RTX 4080 to the significantly more powerful RTX 5080. This transition will offer gamers access to higher resolutions, smoother frame rates, and the latest graphics technologies.

While it’s not yet clear when servers in Turkey will be updated to the RTX 5080, considering that the RTX 4080 package arrived in our country on November 19, 2024, the new upgrade is expected to be available to gamers in Turkey in the coming months.
Another important announcement from Nvidia was Cinematic Quality Streaming (CQS), a technology that elevates image quality to the highest level. This system combines technologies such as AI-assisted video filtering, high-bitrate AV1 CODEC, and HDR10, making the visual stream in games clearer and more vibrant than ever before. Furthermore, Low-Latency Streaming (LLS) technology minimizes latency, making the experience more competitive.
Perhaps one of the most exciting innovations is the Install-to-Play system. This feature will allow users to directly install Steam Cloud Play-enabled games on their GeForce NOW virtual gaming PCs. Nvidia stated that this step increases the number of supported games to over 4,500 at a time. Ultimate and Performance members will receive 100GB of cloud storage as standard, while paid storage options such as 200GB, 500GB, and 1TB will also be available for larger games.
Handheld Consoles and High-Performance Options
The innovations don’t stop there. Steam Deck owners will now be able to play GeForce NOW games at up to 90 fps. For the SteamOS-based Lenovo Legion Go S, this support will be extended to 120 fps at 1080p.
Those with high-speed internet will be able to experience ultra-performance gaming at 120 fps at 5K resolution or 360 fps at 1080p.
