Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 5050 model is on the agenda with the test results made before its release. According to the data shared by Inno3D, the RTX 5050 will be priced at $ 249, but its performance falls short of expectations.
GeForce RTX 5050 tested
In synthetic tests, the RTX 5050 gives close results to the RTX 4060 in benchmark programs such as Steel Nomad, Port Royal and Fire Strike. However, the situation is different in game performance. The RTX 5050 falls behind the RTX 4060 in popular games such as Borderlands 3, Far Cry 6, Horizon Zero Dawn and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The only exception is Far Cry 6; in this game, the two cards show similar performance.

In Inno3D’s dual-fan special model, the GPU reaches a clock speed of 2.6 GHz, while temperatures are around 65 degrees in the GPU and 66 degrees in the memory. Power consumption was measured at 130 watts. These values are low compared to the figures of AMD’s RX 9060 XT model, which can reach 3.46 GHz and uses around 199 watts of power.
The RTX 5050 is planned to be released for $249. However, Intel’s Arc B580 and B570 models in the same price range offer higher memory capacity (12 GB and 10 GB). In addition, the RX 9060 XT, which is expected to be sold in the $299-349 range, is in a more advantageous position in terms of performance and efficiency.
In order for Nvidia to be competitive in this segment, the price of the RTX 5050 needs to be lowered to $199. Otherwise, it will have difficulty against AMD and Intel’s lower-segment solutions.
