Initially launched exclusively for browsers, the Gemini 2.0 Experimental Advanced model is now finally available on the Gemini app for Android and iOS. According to details shared by 9to5Google, this new feature allows subscribers to access the model from their mobile devices at last. Here are the details:
Gemini 2.0 Advanced Now Available for iOS and Android Users
Internally known as Gemini-Exp-1206, the model stands out with its performance in handling complex tasks such as advanced coding, detailed mathematical calculations, and creating detailed instructions for technical projects.
These improvements have placed Gemini 2.0 Experimental Advanced at the top of the leaderboard in the Chatbot Arena LLM rankings, highlighting its efficiency in tackling high-level challenges. However, it still maintains the same limitations as the web version: no access to real-time information and no file upload capabilities.
With its new patents, Sony will use artificial intelligence to eliminate delays in online games with the DualSense controller.
How to Access Gemini 2.0 Experimental Advanced
To access the model, you simply need to use the model selector at the top of the app. The update also keeps other options, such as 1.5 Flash, 1.5 Pro, and 2.0 Flash Experimental, available. However, note that the app automatically reverts to the 1.5 Pro model each time it is closed, which may require frequent adjustments.
For users unable to find the new version in the app, it’s recommended to force stop the app on Android and try again. If it’s still unavailable, ensure that the app is updated to the latest version via the App Store or Google Play Store. Keep in mind that this feature is exclusive to premium subscribers.
