A new series set in the Game of Thrones universe is being added. The second spin-off filmed after House of the Dragon, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, will meet its audience before the end of the year. It was revealed that preparations for the second season of the series, adapted from George R.R. Martin’s Dunk & Egg stories, have begun before the first season has even aired. This information was shared directly by the creator of the series, George R.R. Martin.
A new Game of Thrones series is coming
Speaking to Collider, Martin stated that he watched the first season of the series and liked it very much, and announced that the production team has already started working on the second season. HBO has not yet officially approved a second season, but the fact that the production process has begun shows the confidence of both HBO and the creative team in the project. Last month, HBO executive Francesca Orsi made a similar statement and stated that they were thinking about not only a second season but also a third season.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms takes place approximately 100 years before the original series, which tells the events that took place in Westeros. The story focuses on the adventures of the legendary knight Ser Duncan the Tall (Dunk) and his squire Aegon V Targaryen (Egg). The series, which will shed light on the period before the throne wars of Westeros, will provide more details about the history of the Targaryen dynasty.
Peter Claffey will play Ser Duncan in the series, and Dexter Sol Ansell will play his young squire Egg. Although an official release date has not yet been announced, it is said that the series will meet with the audience in the fall. So what do you think about this series?
