Tesla has achieved a significant milestone at Giga Berlin, its European production hub. According to an official statement by Tesla Manufacturing, the number of new-generation Model Ys produced at the German factory has surpassed 100,000. This rapid increase in production for the vehicles, which began production approximately six months ago and are also sold in the Turkish market, demonstrates the brand’s increased production capacity.
L Boost for Tesla Model Y
Tesla continues to develop special versions for strategic markets like China while increasing its production in Europe. The Tesla Model Y L, introduced in this context, distinguishes itself from the standard model with its six-seat (2+2+2) configuration, appealing to larger families. This special version, which seems unlikely to be available in Turkey, stands out with both its size and performance.
Longer and wider than the standard Model Y, the Model Y L measures 4,976 mm in length and has a 3,040 mm wheelbase. Equipped with an 82 kWh battery pack provided by LG Energy Solution, the vehicle offers a range of up to 751 km according to China’s CLTC measurement standards.
The Model Y L, available with two electric motor options, with 190 hp and 266 hp, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds. The vehicle, which is available in China with a starting price of approximately $47,000, has an estimated energy consumption of 12.8 kWh per 100 kilometers.
