YouTube, the world’s most popular content platform, continues to attract more audiences with its recent innovations. One of the interesting aspects of the platform has been Podcasts. The company continues to offer more innovations in this area.
Podcasts can now be listened to on YouTube Music
YouTube launched the YouTube Music platform in 2015. In a short time, the platform, which has become one of the most popular music platforms, brings another innovation. Podcasts can now be listened to on YouTube Music anywhere in the world. This service was previously only available in the US, Canada and Latin America.
Here’s how Google explained how to add podcasts to YouTube Music;
Create a podcast in YouTube Studio to add your podcast to the YouTube Music app. If you have a podcast without video that you distribute via RSS, you can easily upload your podcast to YouTube using the RSS feed feature we’ll be adding to YouTube Studio in the coming weeks.
Of course, this innovation also signaled the end of an era. Google Podcasts, which launched in 2018, is falling victim to the company’s shift towards YouTube. According to a report that emerged in recent weeks, Google will completely index its Podcast service to YouTube Music.
Users with subscriptions or downloads on Google Podcasts will be provided with some conveniences. Among these are various transfer tools. Users will be able to transfer their subscriptions, playlists and listening history from the Podcasts app to YouTube Music. If you do not want to transfer to Music, you will be able to download your podcast archive. This means that you can access it with the help of different podcast players without using YouTube Music.
