Google has officially changed the name of the Find My Device app that helps Android users find their devices. This service will now be called “Find Hub”. The change has been implemented on all platforms, including the Play Store, phone home screens, and the web interface.
Google has changed the name of the Find My Device app
Google aims to offer more extensive functionality with this change. The new Find Hub app allows users to both find lost devices and see the location of people who share their location.

The person finding feature, which was previously offered limitedly with the “Beta” label, has become stable with the Find Hub update and has been opened to all users. When you enter the “Settings” tab in the updated app interface, you now see two separate options: “Find Hub” and “Google Location Sharing”.
We can say that Find Hub is the section where the previous Find My Device settings are located. Functions such as remote locking and finding offline devices can be controlled in this section. The web version has also been renewed and updated with the same name.
“Google Location Sharing” allows users to manage location settings that they have previously shared via a Google app or service. The separation between these two sections allows users to more easily manage device and contact tracking.
Find Hub will not be limited to just a name change. Google confirmed that it will further expand the scope of the service in the coming periods. With the upcoming updates, satellite connection and ultra-wideband (UWB) technology support will be integrated into the system.
