What will Google Pixel Watch 2 specs be?

Pixel Watch 2 appeared on Google Play Console, Google’s developer portal for application developers. Here, some features of the intriguing device were revealed. According to the information on the page, Pixel Watch 2 will not be powered by Samsung’s Exynos chip like last year’s first model. Google will use the Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 chipset manufactured by Qualcomm in its new smartwatch.

Google may want to reduce the size of the smartwatch with this chipset. Because the chip in question goes through the 4 nm fabrication process and takes up less space than Exynos. Moreover, it is more powerful and uses the battery more efficiently.

When we take a look at the other details of Pixel Watch 2 on Google Play Console, we see that the smartwatch will have 2 GB of RAM like its predecessor. Subsequently, it will take the stage with a screen with a resolution of 384 x 384 pixels. Finally, the information that the device battery will have a capacity of 306 mAh is among the Pixel Watch 2 features.

If Google aims to reduce the size by using Qualcomm Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 in its new smartwatch, there is a possibility that the bezel will also shrink to improve the user experience. But if the opposite happens, the company could draw criticism.

In addition, according to the recently revealed FCC (Federal Communications Commission) certification of the smartwatch, the Pixel Watch 2 will have 4 strap options. These are plastic, metal mesh, metal connection and metal thin strap respectively.
