A new smart lamp from Govee appears to be just around the corner. Listed in the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) database, the Govee Table Lamp Classic looks set to join the brand’s growing line of app-controlled smart lighting. Its appearance under Matter 1.3 certification suggests full support for modern smart home platforms.
What we know about the Govee Table Lamp Classic

According to the CSA listing, the Govee Table Lamp Classic is an indoor smart light that supports Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. These two connection types allow users to control the lamp via the Govee Home app or through smart home hubs that support Matter, such as Google Home and Apple Home.
The device promises support for dynamic color lighting as well as variable white tones. Although not yet confirmed, this likely includes custom presets, scheduled routines, and integration with voice assistants.
Matter certification means broader compatibility
The presence of Matter 1.3 support sets the Govee Table Lamp Classic apart from older models. With Matter, setup becomes faster and device control more flexible, especially across mixed ecosystems.
For example, users can:
- Sync the lamp across different brands in one app
- Control it with Siri, Alexa, or Google Assistant
- Set up multi-device scenes that work consistently
This level of compatibility marks a shift toward more user-friendly smart lighting systems.
How will it compare to the Table Lamp 2?
Govee hasn’t revealed how this lamp differs from the Table Lamp 2, which already features multicolor scenes, music sync, and app-based scheduling. However, the Classic may focus on simplicity and clean design rather than high-end effects.
Expected reveal at CES?
Although Govee has not officially confirmed the Govee Table Lamp Classic, it may debut during CES 2026. The brand usually showcases its latest products during that event, including recently leaked devices like the Floor Lamp 2 Pro.
Until then, this leak confirms at least one thing Govee continues to expand its Matter-enabled smart lighting lineup.
