Rick and Morty gets a 12th season renewal
Season 8 of Rick and Morty is set to air in 2025, and Adult Swim had already announced the renewal for the 10th season back in 2023. Now, with the green light for the 12th season, the Emmy-winning animated series is confirmed to remain on screens until at least 2029.
This exciting announcement for fans was made by executive producers Dan Harmon and Scott Marder during the Rick and Morty panel at New York Comic Con, which was also attended by the show’s stars Harry Belden, Ian Cardoni, Sarah Chalke, Spencer Grammer, and Chris Parnell.

Adult Swim president Michael Ouweleen stated, “Since its first season, Rick and Morty has set a new standard for adult animation, showing no signs of slowing down. Dan Harmon added, “Nobody wants a universe without Rick and Morty,” echoing Ouweleen’s sentiments. Harmon expressed that the writing team sees endless places to go and still has plenty more stories to tell.
