The silence that has been going on in the game world for years has been broken with a new information from Valve. For the first time, a clear statement came from within the company that Half-Life 3 really exists. Valve’s concept artist Evgeniy Evstratiy revealed in a podcast that he saw the room where the game was being developed. This revelation reignited the long-standing anticipation of Half-Life fans.
Half-Life 3 may be in development
Evstratiy said that he did not witness the development process of Half-Life 3 first-hand, but he was in the office space dedicated to the project. Equipped with computers, whiteboards and development equipment, this space is said to be directly dedicated to Half-Life 3.

Evstratiy’s statements reminded us that Half-Life 3 had entered the development phase in different periods before, but these projects were cancelled before completion. There is no clear information about whether the current process will continue or when the game will be announced.
Shortly before this statement, Tyler McVicker, one of the well-known names in the game industry, suggested that Half-Life 3 had reached the final stages in the development process and could be officially announced in 2025.
McVicker’s claim was taken into account because he has been close to Valve for a long time and is known for his accurate leaks. Now, with the statement of a name actively working within Valve, McVicker’s information has also been confirmed.
Valve’s VR-based Half-Life: Alyx, released in 2020, brought the series back to the agenda. But most of the players want a sequel that continues where Half-Life 2 left off.
