The legendary film series, Harry Potter, is being adapted into a television series. Warner Bros., which owns the rights to Harry Potter, officially announced the series in a presentation to the press and investors on April 12th. Warner Bros. will adapt the Harry Potter book series for HBO Max with a unique approach. According to Bloomberg, the new project will feature each book spanning one season. Considering there are a total of seven books, this suggests we could see a seven-season series.
Previously, a similar leak revealed that Hogwarts Legacy, set in the Harry Potter universe, would also become a series. However, sources speaking to Bloomberg stated that Harry Potter and Hogwarts Legacy would be separate adaptations. This means HBO is working on two different projects within the Harry Potter universe.
