Honda, which is not far from China, has finally entered this competition where almost every automobile giant is involved. Honda S7 electric SUV is offered at a more affordable price than Tesla Model Y
Honda has decided to join the electric car sector, which is one of the sectors that comes to mind when it comes to China. Honda S7, which has entered the market where giants such as Tesla, BYD, XPeng, Xiaomi are currently competing, cannot be said to be very affordable in terms of price, but it is still offered at a lower price than Tesla Model Y in China.

According to the information shared by the company, Honda S7 electric SUV is offered in two versions as rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive, while the rear-wheel drive version awaits its buyers with prices starting from $35,840. On the other hand, the four-wheel drive model has a price tag starting from $42,740. While it is claimed that Chinese brands offer higher technology at more affordable prices, Honda’s EV success in China will be seen in the coming days.
The new electric SUV, produced in cooperation with Dongfeng and Honda, also looks quite efficient in terms of performance and technology. The vehicle with a modern design has a length of 4750mm, a width of 1930mm, a height of 1625mm, and a chassis length of 2930mm. The vehicle, which is shorter in length compared to the Tesla Model Y, is longer in chassis length. It also offers less volume than its competitors with its 471-liter trunk.
When we look at its power, the vehicle with 268 horsepower and 420 Nm torque in the rear-wheel drive version provides a range of 650 km thanks to the 89.8 kWh battery. In the four-wheel drive version, two electric motors provide 469 horsepower and 770 Nm torque. It can also reach 0 to 100 in just 4.6 seconds, and despite coming with the same battery, it offers a range of 620 km.
