Honda is establishing a new factory in the Aliağa district of Izmir with an annual production capacity of 100,000 units. The facility, built with an investment of 760 million Turkish Lira, is being built on a 100,000-square-meter site. Production is planned to begin in mid-2026.

Upon completion, the factory will directly employ approximately 300 people. Considering the size of the investment, the facility’s production volume, and the employment it provides, it marks a new phase in Honda’s contribution to Turkey’s industrial infrastructure.
No official announcement has been made regarding the models that will be produced at the factory, which will begin production in mid-2026. However, the large annual capacity suggests that production will be geared towards both the domestic market and exports. The 100,000-square-meter facility represents a comprehensive operational infrastructure, not only for production but also for logistics and support services.
This investment by Honda offers a new contribution to both the industrial network in the Aegean Region and the diversification of production within the Turkish automotive sector. The employment impact the plant will create on the regional economy is particularly noteworthy, particularly in terms of the qualified technical personnel and industrial workforce. Once completed, the new production base in Aliağa will play a significant role in Honda’s strategies for European and surrounding markets.
