Honor has made an ambitious entry into the premium phone arena with the Honor 300 Ultra model, designed to challenge its flagship rivals. The device, which has been developed over the 200 Pro, offers significant improvements, especially in its photography capabilities.
What does the Honor 300 Ultra promise?
The smartphone’s camera system stands out with a 50 Megapixel periscope telephoto lens using the IMX858 sensor. This lens provides users with 3.8x optical zoom and f/3.0 aperture to capture distant objects. The 50 Megapixel IMX906 main sensor with OIS support and a 12 Megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, which work in harmony with the periscope lens, promise professional-level photography.
Honor’s Harcourt Portrait mode, which imitates the lighting style of the Paris studio, is also included in the 300 Ultra. The AI Light Control Engine, designed to preserve light and shadow details even in low-light conditions, increases image quality in night shots.
It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, up to 16GB of RAM, and 1TB of internal storage. The device has a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Honor said the display will offer a maximum brightness of 1200 nits.
The device, which features an in-screen ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, is powered by a 5300mAh battery with 100W fast wired charging and 80W wireless charging options. The 300 Ultra also has IP65 water and dust resistance and will offer satellite connectivity in China.
