The launch date for Honor’s new flagship smartphones and tablets has been revealed in a new leak. The Magic 8 series and MagicPad 3 Pro are expected to launch next month. Here are all the details and expected features known so far.
Both models to be unveiled in October
According to new information surfacing on Weibo, Honor plans to launch the Magic 8 series and MagicPad 3 Pro in its home market, China, on October 15, 2025. This launch is expected to include not only smartphones and tablets, but also a new wireless headphone model (likely the EarBuds 4) and the Honor Watch 5 Pro.

According to previous reports, the Honor Magic 8, Magic 8 Pro, and Magic 8 Mini will reportedly be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Honor isn’t just content with a powerful processor and cutting-edge specifications; it’s also focusing on advanced artificial intelligence (AI)-powered features in the Magic 8 series.
These features are expected to include deeper AI integration to offer more useful tools and improve the quality of zoomed-in photos, particularly those taken from the 200MP periscope telephoto camera. It’s also rumored that the Magic 8 Pro could be the only Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-powered phone with 3D Face ID technology.
The camera system will be supported by a large 200MP telephoto lens, a 50MP 1/1.3-inch main camera, and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens. Powerwise, this model is rumored to offer a massive 7,000mAh battery and support for 80W wired fast charging.
