Following the launch of its flagship Magic 8 and 8 Pro models last month, Honor is preparing to expand its lineup with a new compact model. This device, expected to be called the Magic 8 Mini, is expected to attract attention with its small dimensions, ultra-thin design, and large battery capacity, according to leaked information.
Honor Magic 8 Mini is coming
According to information from Weibo leakster Digital Chat Station, the Magic 8 Mini will have a body thickness of under 6mm. This thinness puts it in the category of ultra-thin phones like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge and the Apple iPhone Air.

However, compared to these ultra-thin models, the Magic 8 Mini offers a compact build with a 6.31-inch screen. Moreover, despite this thinness, the phone is said to not compromise on battery life with its 5,500mAh battery capacity.
A difference is seen in the device’s processor. Unlike other models in the Magic 8 series, which use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the Magic 8 Mini is expected to come with a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor. Camera details are not yet fully disclosed.
Honor is reportedly testing a 200MP main sensor, but there’s also talk of a 1/1.5-inch 50MP sensor. The most striking detail is the rumor that the phone will include a telephoto camera module.
If these specs materialize, the Honor Magic 8 Mini could enter the market as a truly ambitious flagship phone, boasting its size, thinness, large battery, and camera capabilities.
