Honor is attracting attention with its Magic 8 series smartphones, expected to be unveiled in October. Recent leaks have revealed the camera and other key features of the Magic 8 Pro, the top-of-the-line model. These features are expected to differentiate the new device from devices powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Here are the details.
Expected Features of the Honor Magic 8 Pro
According to reports, the Honor Magic 8 Pro will be the only Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-powered flagship to offer both 3D ToF facial recognition and an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint reader.

On the camera front, the device is expected to feature a triple camera setup, including a 50-megapixel main sensor with a 1/1.3-inch aperture, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 1/1.4-inch sensor, and a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with a wide aperture and an 85mm focal length.
Honor’s move puts it in direct competition with rivals like the Vivo X300 Pro and Oppo Find X9 Pro, which were previously leaked to feature 200-megapixel periscope telephoto cameras. However, the fact that the Magic 8 Pro features the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset instead of the Dimensity 9500 offers a significant advantage, especially for users who prefer Qualcomm chips.
The Magic 8 Pro is also rumored to have a battery capacity starting at 7,000 mAh and support for 90W fast charging. It’s also expected to feature a 6.7-inch flat OLED display.
