The Honor Magic 8 Ultra has surfaced in a new leak, revealing fresh details about what could be the top-tier entry in Honor’s latest smartphone series. If the report holds, this model will replace last year’s Porsche Design variant with a more spec-focused flagship.
Honor Magic 8 Ultra tipped to get smaller curved display

According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the Honor Magic 8 Ultra may arrive with a 6.71-inch LTPO OLED panel featuring quad-curved edges and 1.5K resolution.
That’s slightly smaller than the 6.8-inch display used on the Magic 7 RSR Porsche Design, suggesting Honor might be tightening its focus on ergonomics.
Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 under the hood
Like the rest of the Magic 8 series, the Honor Magic 8 Ultra is expected to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Built on TSMC’s 3nm N3P node, this chip represents Qualcomm’s most efficient and powerful offering yet.
It’s already featured in the standard Magic 8 and Magic 8 Pro, but the Ultra may take better advantage of its capabilities with higher thermal headroom and AI integration.
Camera upgrades aim for a serious range
Previous rumors pointed to a 200 MP periscope lens, and that hasn’t changed. But the new leak also confirms a 50 MP OmniVision OV50R main sensor, expected to feature advanced HDR support.
OmniVision’s documentation says this sensor won’t enter full mass production until Q1 2026. That timing suggests it may not hit retail shelves until sometime next year.
Honor Magic 8 Ultra rumored features at a glance
Here’s what the current leak reveals about the phone’s feature set:
- 6.71-inch quad-curved LTPO OLED, 1.5K resolution

- 50 MP OmniVision OV50R primary camera
- 200 MP periscope telephoto lens

Honor’s Ultra may skip Porsche for performance
The Honor Magic 8 Ultra seems positioned to replace the niche Porsche Design editions with something more universally appealing. Instead of high-fashion branding, it’s going all-in on specs flagship chip, huge battery, premium display, and serious camera hardware.
Launch details remain uncertain, but if the leaks are accurate, this Ultra may arrive with the kind of muscle that could challenge Samsung and Xiaomi’s best.
