Honor will unveil the Magic V Flip 2 on August 21st. The new device will feature the largest battery ever used in a vertically foldable phone. The company confirmed the phone’s battery capacity and charging capabilities in an official post.
What will the Honor Magic V Flip 2 offer?
The Xiaomi Mix Flip 2, launched in China in June, held the record for this feature with a 5,165mAh battery and 67W fast charging support. However, the model lacks wireless charging.

The Honor Magic V Flip 2, however, will feature a larger 5,500mAh battery. The phone will also support 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. This is arguably the most powerful battery and charging combination ever offered in a vertically foldable phone.
Another post revealed that the Magic V Flip 2 features ultra-durable UTG glass. Even after 350,000 folds, the device shows a fold mark of less than 50μm. The company claims the model will remain as smooth as new even after five years of use.
According to leaked information, the foldable phone will feature a 6.82-inch LTPO OLED foldable display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The exterior of the device will feature a 4-inch 120Hz LTPO OLED display. The front will feature a 50-megapixel selfie camera, while the rear panel will feature a 200-megapixel main camera and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens.
The Magic V Flip 2 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and offer up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The device will be 6.9mm thick and weigh 204 grams. The phone will be available in black, white, purple, and a special edition blue.
