Honor’s new generation foldable smartphone, Magic V2 Flip, has passed the certification processes in China before its official launch and its technical specifications have been largely clarified. The device draws attention in the foldable phone segment, especially with its battery capacity.
Honor Magic V2 Flip features revealed
According to leaked information, Magic V2 Flip will come with a 5,370 mAh battery. This value may be the highest battery capacity seen so far among foldable phones in the clamshell form factor.

Magic V2 Flip appeared on the 3C certification platforms with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China (CMIIT) with the model number CLE-AN00. The documents also confirm that the device will have 80W fast charging support. However, when looking at Honor’s past models, it is predicted that this charging power may be limited to 66W levels in real use. Still, this rate is quite competitive compared to many rivals in its class.
On the screen side, a high-end panel awaits users. The Magic V2 Flip comes with a 6.8-inch foldable OLED display with LTPO technology and Full HD+ resolution. There is also a 4-inch second display on the phone’s exterior. This display is expected to be used for notifications, quick responses, and basic controls.
The processor choice has not yet been made official, but it is stated that a chipset from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 series will be used. Instead of the top-level Snapdragon 8 Elite, it is suggested that Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 or a different variant of this series will be preferred. This choice may be for the purpose of maintaining a balance between performance and cost.
There are also ambitious hardware on the camera side. The main camera with 50 megapixel resolution and optical image stabilization (OIS) support promises high quality with its large 1/1.5-inch sensor. This configuration is expected to deliver good results both during the day and in low light conditions. Details about video recording capabilities have not yet been clarified.
After its introduction, the Magic V2 Flip will compete directly with models such as the Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7. The model, which stands out in critical areas for daily use, especially battery capacity and charging speed, is seen as an important step towards strengthening Honor’s position in the foldable phone market. The device is planned to be officially introduced in August.
