Honor’s new generation foldable phone, the Magic V5, is coming to the market with a significant battery increase. We can say that the new model offers a serious improvement compared to the Magic V3 model with a 5,150 mAh battery.

It was also revealed that the Magic V5 offers 66W fast wired charging support, just like its predecessor. In addition, Honor is expected to skip the Magic V4 name and directly prefer the V5 name, since the number 4 is considered unlucky in the Chinese market.

According to the leaks, the device will have a 6.45-inch LTPO OLED external screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate. On the inside, there will be a large panel with an 8-inch size, 2K resolution and 120 Hz support.
On the hardware side, the Magic V5 will come with Qualcomm’s high-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Elite chipset. The camera system of the product is also quite ambitious. In addition to the 50 MP main camera with OIS support, there will be an ultra-wide angle lens and a 200 MP resolution periscope telephoto camera.
The device also has advanced features such as wireless charging, satellite connection, IPX8 water resistance and a side-integrated fingerprint sensor. The Honor Magic V5 model is expected to be officially introduced in July.
