Honor will introduce its new foldable smartphone, the Magic V5, on July 2. The company’s CEO George Zhao announced that the device will be the lightest and thinnest foldable smartphone ever produced. Zhao said that the Magic V5 will start a new era in the foldable phone category.
Honor Magic V5 will attract attention with its thin design
The dimensions of the model have not yet been officially shared. However, current leaks suggest that the device will be approximately 8 mm thick when folded and weigh between 210 and 219 grams. If these values are correct, the Magic V5 will be the most portable model in its class.

In terms of hardware features, the Honor Magic V5 has a 7.95-inch 2K+ resolution LTPO OLED display on the inside. There is a second 6.45-inch screen on the outer panel. The processor of the device will be Qualcomm’s high-end model Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Version.
The clock speed that can reach up to 4.47 GHz and the GPU operating at 1200 MHz allow the device to provide a high-level experience in both artificial intelligence applications and daily performance.
The Magic V5 also draws attention with its battery capacity. The 6,100 mAh battery represents the highest value among the models offered in foldable form to date. In addition to 80W fast charging support, the device will also feature wireless charging.
We can say that the camera system of the phone is also quite ambitious. There is a 200 MP resolution main camera on the back. On the security side, the fingerprint reader is positioned on the side of the device. In addition, thanks to the Beidou satellite messaging feature, the phone offers communication outside the coverage area.
