HONOR Play 8T launched with up to 12GB RAM in China

For a long time, there have been rumors and leaks about Honor’s newest affordable smartphone, and now the company has finally launched the Honor Play 8T with significant specifications in China. Honor Play 8T is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC

When we look at the specs of the latest device, we can see that it will be a good option if you’re looking for a smartphone with mid-range specs. The Play 8T gets its power from the MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC with dual 2.4GHz Cortex-A76, hexa 2GHz Cortex-A55 CPU cores, and Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. Additionally, the phone has 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of internal storage options.

On the display side, the Play 8T features a 6.8-inch (2412 x 1080 pixels) FHD+ LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate. Also, there is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner on the phone. While it runs Android 13-based MagicOS 7.2 out of the box, the Honor Play 8T is equipped with a 6,000mAh battery with 35W fast charging support.

In terms of camera, the device has a 50-megapixel main camera with f/1.8 aperture, a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture on the back, while it has an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.4 aperture on the front.

The HONOR Play 8T comes in three color options: Midnight Black, Ink Jade Green, and Streaming Silver. It costs 1099 yuan (about USD 150 or Rs. 12,520) for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage version. If you want more memory, the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model is priced at 1299 yuan (approximately USD 177 or Rs. 14,930). This phone is already being sold in China.
