Apple is preparing to introduce its long-awaited new entry-level iPhone model. While everyone has been expecting this model to be the new iPhone SE 4, recent information suggests a surprising twist. It is said that the device may be named iPhone 16E. Here are the details…
Apple may name its new budget phone iPhone 16E instead of iPhone SE
This claim emerged from strong predictions made by several sources. Initially, in December, a Weibo account called Fixed Focus Digital suggested that the new model would be called iPhone 16E.

A few weeks later, popular leakster Majin Bu revisited this name, confirming the information. Today, Majin Bu mentioned seeing an iPhone box labeled iPhone 16E.
Bloomberg’s renowned analyst Mark Gurman also made a statement supporting this rumor. He mentioned that Apple CEO Tim Cook’s hint about introducing a new “family member” at Wednesday’s event suggests that the device will have a different name. Following this, case products for iPhone 16E started appearing on a popular shopping site, making the name seem increasingly likely.
According to leaked information, the new budget iPhone is expected to feature a 6.1-inch OLED display, Face ID, an A18 processor, and a USB-C port. The device will also come with Apple Intelligence support and an Apple-branded 5G modem. Details about the device’s price and release date are expected to be announced today.
