This rate was achieved in a test where OpenAI’s previous model GPT-4o achieved only 13% success. The o1 model works like a genius not only in this area, but also on coding and scientific problems. The o1-mini, which offers great convenience especially to software developers, is faster and more affordable.
In fact, the mini model is 80% cheaper than the standard o1 model. o1-mini increases efficiency in coding problems, while allowing developers to save time by speeding up their work. This fast aspect of o1-mini has even shown successful performance in coding competitions and achieved a rank of 89% in Codeforces competitions.
It seems that both models will be a great help for researchers, engineers and developers, especially those working in the STEM field.
