Apple launched several devices in 2022, and some of them come with great features. In September, the brand launched the new iPhone 14 series, Apple Watch Series 8, and AirPods Pro 2nd Gen. One of the most significant devices has been Apple Watch Ultra. With its high-end features like Low Power Mode and new capabilities, the device gets people’s attention. Apple also brings the fast charging feature in the Apple Watch Ultra, Apple Watch Series 8, and Apple Watch Series 7. If you have a Watch, here is how to charge your device faster.
Fast charging feature of Apple Watch
One of the most significant and useful features is support for fast charging on recent Apple Watch models. Thanks to this feature, you can charge your wearable device’s battery at much faster speeds than before. However, there are a few things you need to know before trying to use the fast charging feature on your Apple Watch. Let’s check the details.
You need to know that not all Apple Watch models don’t support the fast charging feature. The tech giant released this support only for Apple Watch Series 7, Apple Watch Series 8, and Apple Watch Ultra. According to Apple’s announcement, you can charge your wearable device’s battery from 0% to 80% in about 45 minutes.
To charge your wearable device faster, you need an Apple USB-C Magnetic Fast Charging Cable. However, you can find this cable in the box of your Watch. If you don’t have this cable, you can buy it separately from a third-party store. The cable measures 1m in length and is available for $29. While you buy the cable, you should buy the one with the A2515 model number.
Apple points out that any USB-C power adapter that supports USB Power Delivery of 5W or better can be used to charge Apple Watch faster.
