Chinese tech giant Huawei is set to revitalize the entry-level and mid-range smartphone markets. The company officially unveiled the Huawei Enjoy 90 series with its first teaser image, confirming two powerful new models for its cost-effective lineup.
Grand Launch Preparations for the Enjoy 90 Series
Historically, Huawei has released Enjoy series phones quietly and individually. Even last year’s Enjoy 70X, which featured satellite connectivity, arrived on shelves without much fanfare. However, for 2026, the brand is planning a much larger and more grand event for these budget-friendly yet ambitious devices.

Leaked Names and Designs: The “Pro Max” Era
While official names were initially withheld, recent leaks and teasers indicate a shift in Huawei’s naming strategy. The model featuring a circular camera module is expected to be named the Enjoy 90 Pro Max—marking the first time the “Pro Max” suffix has been used for this affordable series. The second device, sporting a square camera module in the promotional poster, will likely be introduced as the Enjoy 90 Plus.
“Giant Whale” Battery and Kirin 8 Performance
The standout feature of the new series is the “Giant Whale” battery, which is reported to pack a massive 8,000 mAh to 8,500 mAh capacity. This is a significant leap for the segment, aimed at providing multi-day battery life. Furthermore, the devices will be powered by the Kirin 8 series chipset for the first time, moving away from the Snapdragon or Kirin 7 series processors used in previous generations.
While Huawei has not yet shared a specific launch date, the official sale timeline is expected to begin around March 23, 2026. With 1.5K OLED displays and 128GB to 512GB storage options, the Enjoy 90 series is poised to redefine value in the smartphone market.
