Huawei is preparing to launch its flagship Mate 70 series in the coming months. Ahead of the launch, new leaks about the design and features of the device have emerged. According to this, Huawei will feature a different design.
Huawei Mate 70 series design is changing
Recent leaks from China have revealed an engineering prototype of the Mate 70. According to this information, the Mate 70 will feature a 3D facial recognition camera under the display. The front of the device will feature a four-sided curved screen.
Both the standard Mate 70 and the larger-screen Mate 70 Pro are expected to feature a flat metal frame. The fingerprint sensor will be embedded in the screen.
On the back, the Mate 70 series will retain its elliptical camera module. Earlier leaks revealed that it could switch to an all-glass back panel instead of the hybrid metal-glass design used in the Mate 60 series.
The leaks also suggest that the new Kirin processor will offer better energy efficiency than previous generations. This may allow Huawei to control the temperature more easily thanks to less power consumption. According to the claims, the new operating system HarmonyOS Next will increase performance by 30 percent and reduce power consumption by 20 percent.
While both models’ selfie cameras feature 3D facial recognition sensors, the megapixel increase on the Mate 70 Pro delivers sharper selfies and better performance in low light. Both models offer 5x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom, allowing users to capture even distant objects clearly.
